2020/21 Master Blasters Registrations
Master Blasters (formerlyT20Blast) is a concept developed by Cricket Australia to bridge the gap between Junior Blasters (formerly MILO In2Cricket) and Junior Club Cricket. It is run by employees of Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria with assistance from parents and club volunteers, and all games are played at Hampton. There is a real carnival type atmosphere at Boss James Reserve - with 10 mini games being played at one time. Every year our centre is the biggest in Australia, and we have been given the opportunity to host the games again.
Last year Hampton had five sides and we are looking to maintain that this year. This is a great platform for boys and girls who aren’t quite ready for hardball cricket. It really is a brilliant way to develop skills and game sense in a fast paced, fun, semi-competitive environment.
Our older junior grades are now starting to fill up with kids who have been through the program, and there is no doubt the time they had spent in Blasters cricket is giving our junior seahorses the grounding needed to make the jump into hardball cricket. This participation pathway is strongly recommended
Major benefits with Master Blasters:
Please email email@example.com or contact Anthony on 0434079019 if you have any questions, including about where your child should play. Follow the link below to register. Numbers will initially be capped. If it shows as "closed", please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can apply for more teams
If you have done Blasters Cricket before you have a mycricket ID – we can help you out if you have forgotten the email you used. Click here to register; ensuring that Hampton is the club you are enrolling for
Cost will be $99 which will include all of your games, and an exciting kit. All new Hampton players will get their own Hampton shirt (to keep costs down we ask that 2nd year Blasters use their existing shirt), and all kids get a medal at the completion of the sessions
Volunteers – we need your assistance
We always need extra hands to help with the early days of your child’s cricket career. Master Blasters is a pretty easy concept – generally it is a parent to umpire (which is very simple), one to score (which is very simple) and one to make sure that each team and their members go to the right game (generally the hardest partJ). If you can assist, please let us know – the games really can’t function without your help
Parents playing Senior Cricket
We have plenty of opportunities for parents to play senior cricket as well. We have 6 senior sides with games on Saturday or Sunday. Skill level is varied, and experience is not a pre-requisite so if you are keen to play on a regular or fill-in basis please contact Glenn Finkelde via email or on 0400130737
