The grand final weekend saw three Hampton teams represent the club with pride.
Firstly, on Friday evening our 14C boys made up of all first year under 14’s and undefeated throughout the season were just beaten with 12 balls remaining. They played so well
scoring 3-130 off 20 overs. The opposition past them in the 18th over 7 down.
On Saturday morning our 12C team fought hard against a team that hadn’t lost all year winning most games by 100+ runs including the semi-final by 130 runs. Hampton only lost one wicket setting a target of 56. The opposition past us quickly but we made them work harder than any opposition throughout the year.
Finally, on Sunday we had Hampton Cricket Clubs first premiership for this season. Chasing 100 Hampton passed the score in the 20th (last over) in a classic grand final.
Well done to all the players, coaches, families and club supporters for representing our club so well at each final.
