The renovations to the Wright-Scarlett Pavilion at Boss James are well progressed, and all indications are that we will be ready to move in when our tenancy begins in October. After being slightly disjointed it will be great to get back into our home. We will soon have a facility that will maintain some of those key things that made the rooms so special (massive social space, big bar, huge canteen) while giving us a long overdue update to our changing rooms, showers and toilet facilities. The rest of the building will be redeveloped, with the building footprint enhanced. The two changerooms will be rebuilt and repositioned, as will a new gym and toilet facilities. Outside, there will be an increase in undercover area for spectators, thanks to a spectacular-looking green & gold roof with LED lighting.

As part of this redevelopment, we will have a new storage area near the nets which will definitely make it easier for getting training equipment in and out – and also gives us a place to store our curation gear that is out of the elements.

The nets are also close to getting redone – as we are exploring grant opportunities with Cricket Australia so hopefully we can begin that work before the end of 2024.
