The Club was saddened to learn of the passing of Life Member Grace Howell at the age of 91 in Maryborough on 28th August. Her late husband, Tom, joined the Club in 1955 and sadly died too young in the early 70s. Grace and Tom were tireless workers for the Club and both were awarded Life Membership in 1970. Tom captained the 2nds from 1956 to 1965 and later captaining the 4th and 5th XIs and was a wise mentor to many of the up-and-coming juniors. The main honour board at the Club is named in his memory. Grace was a constant support as team scorer, provider of afternoon teas and a leading light in the running of many Club functions. A loyal and wonderful contributor to the Club.
