Hampton has a wonderful cricket program but there is something missing … a Women’s Cricket Team!
Cricket is about community, staying active, and having a laugh with great people. With women’s cricket growing in popularity across the board (think The Ashes!) – Hampton now has plans to field a Women’s team for the 2025/2026 season.
Whether you’ve played before or are a complete novice, this is all about having fun, learning the game, and enjoying a social & supportive environment.
How Do I Get Involved?
We are looking for our great Hampton mums, aunts, sisters, friends and anyone interested in joining this team. No experience is required. Games will be Sunday afternoons commencing in mid-October 2025 and finishing in February 2026. We require a team of 10 players each week. Training will be once a week at a day that is time suitable for the majority of the team. Hampton CC will engage a coach and a dedicated Team Manager – and are committed to providing all the support that you need!
Commitment can be either for the full season or on a match-by-match basis – you do not need to play every week and we aim to create a larger flexible squad of women and girls in order to enable this.
Why Play Cricket at Hampton?
Firstly, it is a fabulous and friendly community club! Cricket is also a great way to get out, meet other like-minded people, and enjoy some fresh air whilst getting active communally through the summer. Whether you’re looking for a fun new hobby, a fun way to stay fit, or just an excuse to spend time with friends – us forming a team is the perfect opportunity for our local community.
Many clubs are now fielding Women’s teams and there is a great competition that Hampton CC will be a part of. Matches are on Sunday afternoons and we would love a core team to get us started. This will also provide a pathway for our young AGCC girls who could play with their mums (minimum age is 13 with a permit) and have some some healthy awesome fun as they grow and develop their cricket.

This team is fully open for local women & girls of all ages and skill levels – who arelooking for a fun, social way to stay active. Let’s create something special for the women and girls of Hampton – cricket, connection, and plenty of good times!
