This provides Hampton Cricket Club with access to a structured coaching program, plus ongoing training, resources and support for all Hampton coaches. FREE Online Player Portal
As part of our ongoing partnership with Century Cricket, all Junior players (and families!) have full access throughout season 2025-26 to their Online Academy – an excellent virtual cricket education platform for cricketers. As HCC members you get full and FREE access to their complete library of content that will help improve junior players’ cricket skills away from the nets.

Meet the Coaches who Support Hampton Cricket Club
We also wanted to share some info about the various coaches, along with some bios, see below.
Anthony Alleyne – educated at Dulwich College in London, Anthony is a former West Indies First-Class cricketer with over a decade of experience in professional cricket. Anthony brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to player development and has represented major teams including Barbados Pride, Combined Campuses & Colleges, and the West Indies U19s at the 2012 ICC World Cup.
Currently serving as Head Coach at Sydenham Hillside Cricket Club in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association, he combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to helping players reach their full potential. Anthony holds ECB Level 2 and CoachEd Level 3 coaching qualifications and has gained international coaching experience across Barbados, the UK (Surrey, Hampshire, Essex, and Devon), and locally in Melbourne.
Ahilan ‘Hilsy‘ Sivakumaran – With over a decade of experience both playing and coaching across Australia and the UK, Ahilan “Hilsy” Sivakumaran brings an exceptional blend of technical expertise, leadership, and passion to every session he leads.
A proud product of the Glen Waverley Hawks Cricket Club, Hilsy has played more than 500 games of cricket, including eight seasons in Victorian Premier Cricket with Melbourne University and Hawthorn-Monash (now Kingston-Hawthorn), alongside international stints in the UK with Sharow CC and Harrogate. His playing career features multiple premierships, representative honours, and a Premier Cricket record for most undismissed runs in a finals series.
As a Cricket Australia Level 2 accredited coach, Hilsy has dedicated his career to player development. He has served as Head Coach and High Performance Coach at Glen Waverley Hawks, led junior academies for both the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades, and spent over eight years coaching with Century Cricket (formerly the Australian Cricket Institute). Having mentored more than 1,000 junior athletes through academies, clinics, and one-on-one coaching, his influence on young cricketers is profound.
Hilsy’s coaching philosophy centres on developing well-rounded players — technically, tactically, physically, and mentally. He builds environments where athletes feel supported yet challenged, empowering them to take ownership of their growth. His focus on fundamentals, game awareness, and personal development ensures every player not only improves their cricket but also gains valuable life skills in teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
Ultimately, Hilsy’s goal is to inspire a lifelong love for cricket while helping players reach their full potential — from grassroots to the elite level.
Muhammad ‘Mo‘ Irfan – a former Pakistani first-class cricketer whose fast-bowling talent and competitive edge have taken him from Pakistan’s domestic circuit to the elite ranks of international T20 competitions.
A right-arm quick renowned for his pace and ability to generate steep bounce, Irfan represented Water and Power Development Authority in Pakistan’s first-class system and featured for Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, and Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) — one of the world’s most competitive T20 leagues. His performances in these environments established him as a dynamic impact player capable of changing a game with both ball and bat.
In 2018, he was selected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s squad for the Pakistan Cup, further highlighting his credentials across multiple formats. Since relocating to Sydney, Australia, Irfan has continued to showcase his class, becoming a standout performer for Western Suburbs Cricket Club in the Sydney Premier Cricket competition.
Now based permanently in Australia and awaiting citizenship, Irfan continues to develop his coaching and mentoring expertise, using his international experience to guide and inspire emerging players.
The Casey South Melbourne Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome Muhammad Irfan Jnr for the next two seasons.
As a fast bowler and hard-hitting lower-order batter, Irfan brings invaluable experience, professionalism, and leadership to the Swans’ squad. His presence adds genuine firepower to both the bowling attack and lower order, and his calm, confident approach makes him an outstanding influence on younger players within the club.
Ojas ‘OJ’ Grover – Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Ojas “OJ” Grover is an emerging and passionate cricket coach who has recently moved to Melbourne to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering at Monash University.
Alongside his studies, he continues to dedicate himself to coaching and developing young cricketers. Ojas has gained valuable experience through his work with Takapuna Cricket Club (Auckland), where he coached development programs catering to players across a wide range of ages and skill levels.
His approach is grounded in adaptability and understanding — recognising that every player learns, grows, and performs differently.
By identifying each athlete’s unique strengths, motivations, and goals, Ojas creates a positive and supportive environment that promotes both skill development and enjoyment of the game. His coaching philosophy focuses on helping players not only improve technically and tactically – but also build confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for the great game of Cricket.
Pratheek ‘Patty‘ Nelluri – Pratheek “Patty” Nelluri is a young and up-and-coming coach who has come through the Glen Waverley Hawks Cricket Club pathway, embodying the club’s focus on developing talented and community-driven players.
Making his 1st XI debut at just 16, Patty has since become a mainstay in the side with his crafty seam bowling and dependable middle-order batting.
Now studying Engineering at Monash University, Patty balances his academic pursuits with his growing coaching career. He is currently coaching the Under 14s at GWHCC, passing on his knowledge, energy, and passion for the game to the next generation of players.
A natural leader, Patty also serves as the 1st XI T20 Captain, reflecting his composure, cricketing intelligence, and ability to inspire teammates.
Patty’s coaching philosophy centres on mastering the basics, upskilling consistently, and fostering growth both on and off the field. He believes that strong fundamentals are the foundation of long-term success and places emphasis on helping players understand their game and develop the confidence to adapt in any situation.
Patty encourages young cricketers to embrace challenges, stay curious, and keep improving, no matter their level. His sessions are generally built around effort, positivity, and progression — ensuring that every player not only refines their skills but also grows their love for the game.
