Adrian passed away peacefully on 25 February 2022 after a brave fight with illness. He was only 53 years old.
Adrian joined Hampton Cricket Club in 1997 and while he only played for a few seasons due to a move to Canberra for work purposes, he was actively involved with the Club during this time. In only his second season he took on the role of Club Secretary with enthusiasm and commitment.
Adrian played most of his cricket in the lower XIs and was described in Jim Kenny’s book as “a cagey spin bowler”. This saw Adrian win the 5XI bowling average in the 98-99 season with an impressive 26 wicket haul for the season. Adrian boasted a rare stat in that during his time with the club he took more wickets than he made runs!
Adrian lived his life to the fullest and he will be greatly missed.
