Hampton Girls Cricket

Hampton had three teams in the AGCC (All-Girls Cricket Competition) in season 2024-25 across U12s, U14s and U16s and now we have expanded this again to include two U14s teams for season 2025-26. With the massive interest in the successful efforts of both our Women’s and Men’s Ashes teams, we’re confident that this year will be our biggest ever.

The AGCC was established in 2013  to provide an opportunity for girls to play cricket with and against other girls. We have opportunities to enter teams at Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 level (although we can get dispensation for players to play as an older player – particularly if they are new to the game).

Cost for season 2025-2026 will be $350 which includes all of the games, equipment and a Hampton shirt and cap (for new players). To register your junior player for Girls cricket click the link below:

If you are keen to play, please just get in touch and don’t forget to persuade all of your friends, sisters, daughters, nieces and cousins to sign up too! At Hampton our junior programs focus on fun, development and healthy participation – and all of our Girls teams are no exception.

We have also launched a Senior Women’s Cricket team in season 2025-26, which gives our HCC Girls a pathway into Senior cricket as they mature. To learn more about Women’s Cricket at Hampton, please just CLICK HERE

Coaching

We are delighted to announce that in season 2025-2026 we will be continuing our partnership with Century Cricket. This partnership provides additional professional coaching for our junior girls during training. Some of our older and graduating junior players will be assisting our younger girls. We are immensely proud of this investment, which is acknowledged by Cricket Victoria as possibly unique in this state. To learn more about this please just CLICK HERE

Volunteers

We always need extra hands to help with the early days of your child’s cricket career. If you are keen to help out as a coach, team manager, scorer, BBQ chefs, drink waiters, pitch sweepers, stump inserter, witches hat distributor – or just a supporter – we are keen to have you along. We will gladly pay for you to do accreditation courses to help you, but also have a heap of talented people who are more than happy to offer advice and assistance. If you have an hour to spare, I strongly recommend you complete the introduction to coaching course. It is very informative and is all done online in your own time.

For any further information, please contact Girls Program Coordinators Elissa Marshall (0438546172) or Sonya Hubbard (0414315978) or via email at juniorshamptonccgirls@gmail.com

Parents playing Senior Cricket

We have plenty of opportunities for parents to play senior cricket as well. We have seven senior sides with games on Saturday or Sunday. Skill levels are very varied, and experience is not a prerequisite – so if you are keen to play on a regular or fill-in basis please contact Glenn Finkelde via email or on 0400 130 737.
