Following on from a hugely successful relaunch of our women’s program last year, we are looking forward to season 2026-27 with great excitement.
To kick things off we’ll be running a dedicated information session at Boss James Reserve Clubrooms on Sunday 9th August at 4pm. All are welcome to come down and hear more about our plans for women’s cricket at HCC for the year ahead.
Affiliated with Cricket Southern Bayside, this season we will add a second side to ensure we can offer options for those starting out their cricket journey and those more advanced.
Training and Games
Matches are played on Sunday afternoons & weekly training sessions during the season are on Thursdays 6pm-7pm at Widdop Crescent nets and oval. The season starts in early October and runs until early March.
Indoor pre-season training sessions will start on Tuesday 25th August. The session details are below:
2026-27 REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN
For the second consecutive year, the Club has made the decision to subsidise subscription fees to only $200 for the season (normally $450). Follow the below link to register.
Hampton registered Juniors wishing to play Women’s cricket can do so with no additional cost to their AGCC registration fees.
All new players will receive a playing shirt, cap and pants as part of their registration fees.
Our Leaders
Paul Bowden will again take on the role of Women’s Coach with the support of others to help out at training and game day. Paul is a current Vice-President and a life member of the Club with over 20 years’ playing and coaching experience at Hampton. Paul is a long-time contributor to the Club alongside his wife Nicki.
A long term administrator but first time player last season, Martine Harris led our women’s side in its first season back after a 40 year hiatus. Martine has been heavily involved at the Club for over 5 years now, with her son and daughter as well as husband John playing at Hampton.
Martine was our Junior Coordinator before moving onto the AGCC committee and remains Chair of that body. We are incredibly lucky to have Martine so involved at HCC and expect she will take on an on-field leadership role again in 2026-27.
