Senior cricket was due to get underway this week, junior mixed cricket starts next Friday, and the Blast kids are kicking off in a couple of weeks time. The 2026-27 season is here and so is the social calendar that goes with it.
Five dates, one for every stage of the summer… Get them into your phone now!
Season Launch BBQ: Thursday 8th October
The Season Launch is where the whole club gets together before a ball is bowled in anger: seniors, juniors, girls, women, Blast families, past players, partners, sponsors and anyone who’s ever filled in a scorebook or run an HCC barbecue. If you’re new to Hampton this season, this is the single best night to come along and put faces to names before round one.
It also lands the night before junior mixed cricket kicks off on Friday 9th October, so it’s a good chance for new junior families to meet team managers and coaches ahead of the first game.
When: Thursday 8th October from 6pm
Where: Boss James Reserve
What: Bar is open, free snags for kids
Who: All members, families and friends are warmly welcome
Bogan Bingo: Saturday 21st November
Exactly what it sounds like, and an exciting new night on the Hampton CC calendar. Mullets optional but encouraged. More details and tickets closer to the date.
Christmas Party: Saturday 19th December
The last hurrah before the Christmas break. A relaxed one for members, families and kids. Santa will be on his traditional HCC ute flinging out Xmas gifts across the hallowed oval.
Past Players Day & Premiership Reunion: Saturday 6th February
Two Hampton favourites now combine to make the day even bigger and better. We throw the doors open to past players and reunite premiership sides to tell the same stories they told last year, only better. If you’ve pulled on the blue and gold at any point since 1908, consider this your open invitation – and if you’re still in touch with old teammates, start rounding them up now.
Presentation Night: Saturday 20th March
The traditional season wrap-up. Club champs applauded, premiership celebrations (hopefully!), award presentations and the formal thank-you to everyone who made the summer happen.
Keep an eye out: full details, times and ticket links for each event will follow as they get closer, both here and in the club newsletter. Questions about any of the social events? Get in touch via the Contact page.
See you on Thursday!
