We are excited to announce two key appointments for the coming 2019/20 season.

Matt Kenny will take on the role of Coach for season 2019/20.

Matt’s history at Hampton is long and storied. A Life Member, former President and long-time committee member Matt’s contribution to the Club has been nothing short of exceptional. On the field he played VTCA Senior Division Cricket with Hampton for 10 years and was named in the Club’s 1990s Team of the Decade. For the past 15 years, he has focussed on Coaching at junior levels across both football and cricket. Matt’s thirst for knowledge and drive to learn more about the coaching craft is infectious and he is a great fit for the job. Matt’s creative nature means we can expect the unexpected this year. As he says it, “expect elements of training to be a little outside the square”! We’d also like to take the opportunity to thank Dean Hewitt for his hard work last year. Dean is a great Hampton person and the structure and disciplines he put in place hold us in good stead for the future.

Russell Anderson has been appointed Hampton CC Academy Manager for 2019/20. The goal of the Academy is to provide focussed training to further develop our talented young players between the ages of 15 and 19. Russ’ passion for the development of our young players from both a skill and leadership perspective make him the ideal person to take this role.

We would also like to thank Dan Forbes for the hard work he put into the Academy over the past two years. Dan was our inaugural Academy Manager and has set the tone brilliantly. Please join us in congratulating Matt and Russ.
