Guest Speaker – Simon Helmot
The Hampton Cricket Club welcomes Simon Helmot as guest speaker at our annual President’s Lunch. Simon is a Level 3 Cricket Australia Coach, beginning his coaching journey at the age of 25 with the Hawthorn-Monash University Cricket Club while still a player. Simon coached the Victorian Institute of Sport’s Under-19s after retirement and then coached the ACT Comets in the Cricket Australia Cup for two years. In addition, he held the position of high performance manager for the Victorian Bushrangers and coached the Australia A team that visited India in 2008. Since then, Simon has been a coach in numerous major cricket leagues around the world including the Indian Premier League, Big Bash League, Caribbean Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League, and has also been associated with cricket teams at an international level.
