We are excited to announce a structural change to the way we resource our coaching at the Club. While these roles relate directly to the Senior Club, we see a positive impact on the Junior section too.
Justin Forbes has been appointed to the role of Club Coach. Justin will lead Senior training, play a key role in Junior development including presence at training and be the go to for all Pre-Season activity. While he has no formal game day responsibility, expect to see Justin around the grounds on Saturdays and Sundays. Juzzy has a strong background working with various local and high performance sporting organisations bringing a great balance to the role.
After 3 successful years as Senior Coach, Matt Kenny will focus his efforts as First XI Coach. Matt will still be heavily involved on Thursday nights in particular but his main accountability will be on Match Day where he will help prepare the side as well as support First XI captain Charlie Ross with planning and preparation. He will no doubt provide strong support for Justin in his role too.
We see this additional resource as a significant move to further our vision of creating the best possible environment for players of all levels to develop their cricket. Please join us in congratulating both Justin and Matt on their roles and thanking them in advance for their contributions!
