A historic Sunday afternoon (March 1st) up at Jingella Reserve saw our Senior Women’s team win the CSB Women’s T20 Series 3 Grand Final away against Ashwood.

An amazing result which finishes off a superb first year of cricket for our Senior Women who have thrived under the captaincy of Martine Harris and support of Paul Bowden as team coach.

Player of the Match Robyn Muir opened and magnificently held the innings together – and with the able support of Pamm Phillips , Glynis Nott and Kerryn Thorson Hampton made 123 runs from the 20 overs – with 5 wickets lost.

With the ball – Andrea Johannessen took 2 wickets from her 4 overs and all six bowlers kept the Ashwood run rate down to barely 5 runs per over. A super effort!

A superb afternoon, a historic win and a fun-filled evening with friends, supporters and families followed up at Boss James. Congratulations to all the players on the day and all the ladies (including a healthy number of junior players) that played and contributed throughout the season!
