Hampton Cricket Club proudly offers a vibrant girls’ program focused on inclusivity, friendships, enjoyment, and skill development. We are pleased to be running pre-season training for the girls and once again have Century Cricket coaching regularly throughout the season. We will also be running specialised sessions on fielding, batting, bowling, wicket keeping throughout the season to further enhance their skill sets.

We strongly encourage mixed cricket, providing our girls with opportunities to participate in additional games. At Hampton, we are committed to giving our girls the same opportunities as our boys and fostering a supportive community and camaraderie within the club.

This year, we are also promoting a culture of mutual support by inviting our boys’ teams to attend girls’ matches and engage in club activities together.

Our dedication to the girls’ program is reflected in their achievements. Several players are competing in the VMCU rep competition across U12, U14, and U17 age groups. Notably, our more senior girls Emmy Clarke, Agatha Beare, and Ocienne Farquharson are currently at the Shane Warne Academy, St. Kilda Cricket Club and have participated in the Tier 2 premier cricket competition there. Ocienne was also selected for the Girls U16 Victorian Indoor Cricket Team this year.

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to be planning for a Women’s Cricket team for the 2025/26 season. This will provide our girls with an exciting new pathway to continue their cricket journey at a more senior level. Women’s cricket is on the Move !

At Hampton, our focus remains on nurturing the development and passion of our girls as they grow in their love for cricket.
